Adjustment of Status (VAWA)

If any of the relief you receive makes you eligible for a green card or citizenship, we can help lead you through the process of obtaining your official, legal status.

When you are eligible, we can help you adjust your status to become a legal permanent resident of the United States, also known as a Green Card. You might be eligible for a Green Card if you:

  • Are a family member of a US citizen or legal permanent resident (see Family Immigration)

  • Have lived in the United States for more than 10 years, have a spouse, parent or child who is a legal permanent resident or citizen, and would be caused “exceptional and extremely unusual hardship” if separated from them

  • Receive Asylum

  • Receive a U-Visa because you were the victim or witness to a crime (see U-Visas)

  • Receive Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (see family immigration)

  • Have a qualifying job offer from a US company

At Leveille Law Group, we have the experience to let you know what you will have to do to be eligible for a green card and help you secure one if and when you are eligible.

In addition, once you have received your green card and lived in the US for a certain period of time (which can vary based on your circumstances) you may be eligible to become a naturalized US citizen. The process of Nationalization can be extremely complex and burdensome, but at Leveille Law Group we will know how to guide you every step of the way.

How can we help you?
